Marchell’s Barbershop has been a cornerstone of Parkersburg for over half a century — a place where craftsmanship, conversation, and community come together. Founded in 1965 by Marchell Jones, Sr., a proud World War II veteran, the shop began as a single‑chair barbershop in a renovated carport just blocks from Parkersburg City Park. For decades, it served as a gathering place for generations of families.
Today, second‑generation barber Marchell Jr. carries forward that legacy at our new downtown location at 615 Market Street, offering the same welcoming atmosphere, classic barbershop feel, and unmatched attention to detail that built our reputation.
