Founded in 1965 by the late Marchell Jones, Sr.—a distinguished World War II veteran—this classic neighborhood barbershop began as a single-chair shop in a renovated carport and served the community from the same location for decades, just blocks from Parkersburg City Park. Today, second-generation barber Marchell Jr. carries on his father’s legacy, creating a welcoming space where generations come for great cuts, first haircuts, and the kind of conversation and comfort only a true hometown barbershop can offer—now in the heart of downtown Parkersburg at 615 Market Street.
